Tie on to Adriana Resources
Several surface exposed bog manganese showings were found in 1948, over a dozen deposits within 1.25 miles by 0.75 miles, each around 5 acres in size with more seen from the air approx., 4 miles NW, test pitting by hand was done with high iron and manganese values. Digging revealed high grade iron.
Later maps show a limonite spring also discovered in the area.
Adriana appears to have taken ground that had been mapped later as the later maps do not have these iron deposits on them.
The deposits were first described in 1948, by the company Noracon which had the concession covering the area to the 1960’s.
Bog manganese was visually discovered while prospecting, from the report…”bog manganese and iron which were first found….these deposits ….consist of discontinuous patches of loose, black earthy material overlying hard pan. Individually they may reach 5 acres in extent: severally they are known to occur here and there within a tract measuring 1.25 miles by 0.75 miles. Hasty scouting revealed at least a dozen of these deposits; what looked like more of them were seen from the air near a lake 4 miles Northwest. Test pitting proved to be difficult in the hard-pan but holes were dug down 5 or 6 feet in several places. The deposit appears to be normal limonite-goethite bog ores, invariably overlain by powdery or spongy manganese ore. Table 1 shows the analyses of material from one of the test pits:

There are minor outcrops covering the iron deposits spanning over a huge area. There is nice high grade Fe with Manganese numbers throughout the property. The bog manganese looks to be leaching from the iron below, Historic work was completed in test pits because that was the only method available at that time.
Each section is at least 5 acres in size making the entire property approx 25,000 hectares. There is 3 million cubic meters of material, with some drill intercepts over 100 metres.
