Mineralization
Download Prospect Summary - Xeno North
The mineralization in the area is hosted by an alkalic intrusive-extrusive igneous complex in the tuff-chert-limestone unit. This complex forms a west-northwest trending belt of probably cogenetic syenites, trachytic volcanics, carbonatites and diatremes that has been mapped for at least 20 kilometres. It ranges in surface width from a few hundred metres to a few kilometres. The mineralization within the area has been assigned to two MINFILE occurrences: the Rar 4 showing, in a mafic syenite, is towards the southeastern end of the belt, and the more important Kechika Yttrium prospect covers an area in the centre of the belt.
